Through a deep understanding of the Bodies Anatomy, Physiology and Chemistry, one can make a change in each by changing the structure of the Body. Biodynamic Osteopathy is an Art Form and learnt extension of Traditional Osteopathy. It is about learning to listen to and work with the subtle layers of Anatomy that may normally be missed.
- How long have you been treating?
Luke has taken the long route to working as an Osteopath; choosing Travel, Music and Adventure over tradition. His inspirations have come both from the pleasure of seeing what is possible by observing the worlds best Osteopathic Practitioners; as well learning through personal Pain and trying to heal himself. He has finished studying Osteopathy in 2010, travelled briefly around the work before embarking on Osteopathy as a profession in Melbourne, Perth and Northern Rivers. - What is unique about Luke’s treatment style?
Lukes treatment is not your regular structural Osteopathy, he has a calm gentle nature that most people find easy to relate to. His approach is holistic in nature using a combination of gentle & more firm techniques that affect all parts of ones body. He has had a great deal of experience treating headaches, migraines and chronic pain. - Who is Luke most inspired to work with?
Luke loves working with people who are open to experiencing whatever is possible in the Body. When someone is open, you can cut through many layers and get to the core of a problem. Making easy of pain and dysfunction, bringing the body back into balance.
What is Biodynamic Osteopathy?
It is an understanding of the way our body moves and is influenced by all of its parts; it usually involves holding onto the body and allowing it to treat itself. This may be assisted by initial soft tissue work to support the body and nervous system in calming down.
How Does the Treatment Work?
Either through massage or the combination of various Osteopathic techniques, we are able to bring the body to a neutral state. From this place we simply place our hands on the body and allow its own therapeutic forces to take hold, heal and revitalise old injuries, compressions or restrictions.
Do people just come for physical problems?
No, apart from physical pain people also come for treatment when stressed and fatigued, Osteopathy can help support ones immunity, nervous system and overall stress management.
